The 2026 Medicare Costs Part A, Part B & Part D Premiums, Deductibles, and IRMAA Updates were released on November 14, 2025 - later than usual for financial planning purpose of Medicare beneficaries

On November 14, 2025, CMS released the Official Medicare premiums and deductibles 2026 —later than in previous years—and there are some meaningful increases beneficiaries should be aware of. At MRW Solutions Group, our goal is to break these updates down in a way that feels clear, practical, and easy to apply as you prepare for the year ahead.

Part A—which covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facilities, hospice, and some home health services—will see several cost increases. The inpatient hospital deductible rises to $1,736, with higher daily coinsurance for longer hospital stays and skilled nursing facility care. Most beneficiaries still pay no Part A premium, but those with fewer than 40 work quarters will see the voluntary premium increase to $311 (reduced) or $565 (full). These shifts matter for anyone managing chronic conditions, planning a procedure, or simply budgeting for healthcare in 2026.

Part B—covering outpatient care, doctor visits, diagnostics, and medical equipment—will move to a $202.90 monthly premium with a $283 annual deductible. Higher-income beneficiaries will continue to see additional IRMAA charges based on tax-year income. For individuals maintaining Part B solely for immunosuppressive transplant medications, the 2026 premium rises to $121.60. These adjustments reflect ongoing utilization trends but can still impact out-of-pocket costs in a real way.

Part D IRMAA amounts are also increasing for 2026. These surcharges apply no matter the drug plan selected and are paid directly to Medicare. For clients who fall within higher income brackets, this can influence which prescription drug strategy makes the most financial sense. As always, MRW Solutions Group is here to walk you through your options and help ensure your health plan remains aligned with your needs and budget.
