A successful agent understands healthcare and life insurance products, including Medicare, private insurance plans, supplemental coverage, life insurance, and emerging industry trends. Staying informed about regulatory changes, carrier updates, and market developments is essential to providing clients with accurate guidance.


Exceptional Client Service
Building strong relationships with clients is central to this role. You must be able to understand each client’s unique needs, provide tailored solutions, and offer ongoing support. The ideal candidate is responsive, empathetic, proactive, and committed to going above and beyond for clients.


Sales, Networking, and Business Development
This business is what you make of it. A top MRW Solutions Group agent is always searching for new opportunities to grow, build relationships, ask for referrals, connect with the community, and meet or exceed goals.


Adaptability and Continuous Learning

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate Michigan clients on life, health, Medicare-related, supplemental health, and private insurance options.

  • Conduct client consultations and needs assessments.

  • Recommend appropriate coverage based on client goals, eligibility, budget, and protection needs.

  • Explain policy benefits, premiums, exclusions, renewals, underwriting requirements, and enrollment steps.

  • Follow MRW Solutions Group’s sales process from initial contact through application and ongoing service.

  • Build and manage a pipeline using company-provided leads, referrals, networking, and community outreach.

  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and complete required follow-up.

  • Provide first-class client service before, during, and after enrollment.

  • Meet or exceed sales, activity, service, and retention goals.

  • Complete required training, carrier certifications, and continuing education.

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable Ohio, federal, carrier, and MRW Solutions Group guidelines.

  • Stay current with carrier training, product updates, compliance rules, and continuing education requirements.

  • Represent MRW Solutions Group professionally and ethically at all times.

Required Qualifications


  • Active Michigan Life & Health / Accident & Health insurance producer license, or ability to obtain the required Michigan license before selling.

  • Two or more years of insurance industry sales experience, or a strong willingness to learn if changing careers.

  • Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to break down barriers, navigate gatekeepers, and identify growth opportunities.

  • Strong technology skills and ability to quickly adapt to CRM, quoting, enrollment, and virtual meeting tools.

  • Positive attitude, coachability, and a competitive desire to succeed.

  • Commitment to client-first service and ethical sales practices.

Michigan’s Department of Insurance and Financial Services identifies an insurance producer as commonly referred to as an insurance agent, and requires producers to meet licensing, examination, pre-licensing, and continuing education obligations to receive and maintain a license. Michigan resident individual producer licenses remain active as long as the licensee stays compliant with continuing education requirements.
